Protect your Personal and Transaction Cards Information

You can never be too careful when it comes to safeguarding your bank card details or personal information. As hackers and scammers never stop trying to steal from you, always protect your personal data from being stolen.

Tips to safeguard your card details:

DO NOT
  • Write your card PIN anywhere that is easily seen/accessible or share with others.
  • Save or allow your browser to store your card number, login or personal details. Re-enter your details manually instead.
  • Create a PIN using your birth date, IC number or consecutive numbers (eg: 123456)
  • Buy things or bank online if you are on any unsecured WiFi network, including office or hotel WiFi.
  • Share your card details and OTP with anyone.

ALWAYS
  • Remember your card PIN. Memorize it and DO NOT write it down.
  • Ensure transaction alerts/SMS/email notifications are enabled to monitor your transaction activities.
  • Check that the shopping/Banking website URL has the "lick" icon or "https:"
  • Cover the keypad when entering your card PIN to prevent others around from seeing it.
  • Be present when paying with your card to ensure you can see the entire payment process.
  • Set a transfer limit according to your banking needs.
If you think your bank card has been compromised, call the bank immediately to report and block it.
